What is Polku and how does it work?

Our groundbreaking fitness service gathers all of your city’s best sports activities, pop-up training sessions and other fitness activities in one simple and easy to use iPhone app (also now available online). In addition to finding the best activities, Polku enables you to try all of them for free.

Once signing up use the map or list view to search for an activity that interests you. Find an activity you would like to know more about, tap it to open up a description, website, facebook, address and contact info. If that activity sounds right up your alley, scroll to the bottom of the description to claim your trial to go do it for zero cost. (for some activities you are required to book ahead due to space) We eliminate all restrictions possible to give you the best user experience possible.

Once you are at the location, open the app and head to My Passes, claim the trial or purchases and show it to the front desk. This is your ticket to an exclusive fitness experience at no additional cost. All you need is your gym bag and your phone. It's that easy.

Where is Polku available?

We currently operate in London, New York and Finland. We have big plans coming up so stay tuned! Let us know where you are and tell us why we should launch in your city.

How do I pay with Smartum (Finnish Users)

We officially process Smartum Saldo payments via the Polku iOS app and on our website.

First, you'll need to link your Smartum credentials with your Polku account. To do this, follow the 3 step walkthrough shown on the app or website. Once you have found a product you want to purchase, follow the payment steps and eventually show the received receipt to a front desk personnel at the service provider.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are no hidden fees whatsoever. You will always be able to enjoy the experience described in the activity description. You will have access to all our trials, completely free with no gimmicks or hidden fees. If purchasing entries, classes and memberships, you'll only pay the price you see.

Does my activity pass work immediately after I pick one?

Yes, your activity passes are valid from the moment you pick one (by clicking "Activate Trial Pass"). Each activity pass is valid for 7 days. Why does it have a 7 day validity period? Because all facilities have a maximum capacity, so be picking an activity, you are ensuring that you can fit.

Ps. Remember to double check on if the activity requires a reservation well in advance. Simply click "Reserve Your Spot" tab and follow instructions.

What’s the catch?

No catch. All our passes connect you to people and facilities that genuinely want your business and want to give a true first experience to impress you. We give you quality, not the second-class service of some sites. You get the full experience, guaranteed.

If you've enjoyed the activity, great. If it's not for you then there's no hidden fees or hooks to get your money. Buying through Polku is really easy, you can keep all your fitness passes in on place and never worry about paying over the odds for access to the places you love.

I’m having trouble purchasing

I want a refund. Can you help?

We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with Polku. If there's anything we can do to make it right please get in touch. We can be reached at support@polkuapp.com or you can use the settings and support menu in the app/web to reach out to us as well.

Can I visit the same location and use trial multiple times?

You are able to access each facility or service for the duration of what the activities description provides. Depending on the activity you choose this could be a single entry to 2 weeks of access. However you cannot use trial passes multiple times or in multiple locations of a service provider. For example if gym chain has three locations and you use your trial to one of them, you're automatically disabled from doing the trial in the other locations. This is to prevent misuse!

Our app is all about trying new things and seeing if it is a fit for you. You can purchase memberships, single classes/sessions and make open Smartum payments through the app.

Our goal is to help you truly find what you are looking for and make it easy to continue if you chose to do so.

Can I use Polku on other devices?

YES! We have an iOS app and you can access our full range of trials and products online at Polkuapp.com.

How do I use a pass?

It's super easy. Once you've found the activity you want to attend, click the "Activate trial pass" button to activate the ticket. You'll have seven days to use the pass. At the venue, head back into the app and show the pass. You'll see all your upcoming and past activities under My Activities.

Do I need to reserve?

Some activities you will and some you wont. You'll know once you go into the trial ticket and see Reservation Instructions.

With the Quick Redeem you can also reserve some of the activities right through the app with a couple of double taps.

How does the quick reserve work?

You can browse available classes in the Quick Reserve view. You can reserve spots to classes upcoming the next 7 days by simply clicking a button. You'll get a confirmation of your reservation and the partner will also be informed of your upcoming visit. All you need to do is to be at the right place at the right time with your Polku pass in hand!

How can I cancel a reservation?

You can cancel your Quick Reserve spot 12 hours prior to its start and get your money back. Trials are not refundable in any case.

How do I purchase?

We offer in-app purchases. You can use all major credit and debit cards. For our users in Finland, you'll be able to use your ePassi & Smartum cards as well. If you have a Ticket Mind & Body card, we can still take payment but unfortunately it wont be directly through the app. Email us at info@Polkuapp.com to arrange a place where we can make the payment.

Do activities fill up?

Yes they do. We've been able to partner up with lots of amazing locations who are very popular. We agree on different capacity limits for each partner and therefore demand can vary. If you are wondering how many spaces are left, you can see different labels indicating demand.

Is a single Flex Monthly pass good for multiple locations?

No, Flex Monthly gives you access to a gym or studio of your choice. If you are wanting to access more locations with a monthly pass then you will need to purchase multiple times.

Can I stop Flex Monthly when I want?

Yes, you simply need to go into My Passes in your account and stop the membership. If you have paid the bill this month then you'll have access right up until your next billing date.


If I buy a Flex Monthly today, when will I get the next bill?

You'll get a reminder a few days beforehand and will be billed on the same day each month. This allows you seamless access to the location.

Are there any fees around getting a Flex Monthly?

No joining fees, no cancellation fees. You will just pay for the access.
